Jackson Timberwolves vs Snohomish Panthers Volleyball

MILL CREEK — Snohomish capitalized on Jackson’s faltering serve-receive in the fourth and fifth sets to pull out a 3-2 victory in Wesco 4A action on Thursday night. Jessica Brennis had 17 kills and Kyla Mellick added 16 for the Panthers, who improved to 2-0 on the season with the victory. Snohomish trailed 2-1 after three sets, but made the Timberwolves pay for their miscues late in the match.

“Going into the fourth set, I thought we had them,” Jackson coach Mindy Staudinger said. “In those last two sets, I saw us not competing as well, and I don’t know why we had that letdown. Credit Snohomish for digging the ball really well.”

Brenna Fogerty led Jackson with eight kills, and Emma Tran and Alex Crittenden chipped in seven apiece for the Timberwolves (0-2, 0-2).“I was proud of how hard we fought, but we have to figure out how we can keep the serve-receive going for the duration,” Staudinger said.

  • I was covering lake stevens and Wesco from 2006 - 2012, then moved out of state until 2021. i remember you guys back then but you've gotten so much better. the production, the quick replays and the on air talent is as good as there is. better than national cable outlets (ie Graham Kapowsin vs that Georgia team). i enjoyed the play by play but even more so the color commentary from your GP guy. He's good. I'm a broadcast journalism major i know all these moving parts aren't easy. I will def do all i can to let my readers know when u guys are doing LS games in the future. • You guys did MLT game a couple weeks ago at Archbishop Murphy and you do a great job. Simon Dubiel
  • Gentlemen, I was introduced to STSPN this morning watching your broadcast of the Vashon v Liberty boys Division II lacrosse championship game. Absolutely great coverage. Announcers were well-informed and offered valuable insights throughout. I doubt I will hear better watching the NCAA Championship game today. The camera work was smooth, the video was free of any technological glitches and you even offered replays. Wow! Every community should be so fortunate to have a resource that produces such quality broadcasts. Kevin Vashon Island
  • I want to thank @SnohomishSports for their outstanding coverage of high school athletics. They do it for all the right reasons. Nate
  • I cant tell you how happy I am for your streaming coverage. I live 900 miles away. Now I can watch lots of the games and I got to see my grandsons first HS dunk. Also the quality of the broadcast is excellent. I amazed at your production. D. P Korab, Hurricane, UT

  • Getting your first league win is always big! All of our games in league have been tight, but we haven't finished. We have leads in most of them for most of the game. Tonight, I was proud of the kids because they put four quarters together and they finished the game.
